Battlefield 6: Ongoing Crashes with GeForce RTX 5000. NVIDIA and EA Launch Investigations
In recent weeks, particularly following the latest update for Season 4: Pacific Front, reports of crashes for Battlefield 6 have surged, prompting direct intervention from NVIDIA and Electronic Arts. The issues appear to intensify specifically on the new map Tsuru Reef, although the disruptions seem to be rather widespread.
EA has officially acknowledged the malfunction through a statement from Battlefield Studios and confirmed that an investigation is underway in collaboration with NVIDIA to identify the source of the crashes. According to findings, the malfunctions primarily manifest as "driver crashes" and mainly affect owners of NVIDIA RTX 5000 video cards.

The reports collected thus far indicate that the problem particularly affects the new map Tsuru Reef, although it could extend to other Battlefield 6 maps with large water surfaces. EA clarifies that not all players are impacted, but the frequency of reports has necessitated the launch of a joint investigation with NVIDIA.
In addition to the RTX 5000 series, some users with RTX 4000 cards have reported similar crashes, which suggests that the issue may not be confined solely to the new generation of GPUs.
At this time, it is unclear whether the cause is directly related to the Tsuru Reef map or to the most recent NVIDIA drivers, including version 610.74 released on July 7. As a precaution, EA advises players with RTX 5000 cards to downgrade to NVIDIA drivers 596.49, which according to initial indications, should reduce or eliminate the crashes.
Should problems persist even after installing the recommended drivers, EA has urged users to contact technical support, providing detailed information about their GPU model, installed driver version, the affected map, and the circumstances under which the crash occurs.
Additionally, Battlefield Studios has confirmed that it will share new updates on the investigation as soon as further details about the cause of the issue and any forthcoming fixes are available.
