Samsung has officially unveiled, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 line, the new generation of its wrist devices dedicated to fitness and health monitoring: Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9. The Korean company continues to push the integration of high-level hardware and AI-assisted software ecosystem, offering two smartwatches designed to meet the needs of both the most demanding athletes and users looking for daily monitoring of their physical condition.

Both models introduce significant evolutions in hardware platform and efficiency, essential for ensuring continuous diagnostics 24/7 without compromising user experience. The core of both wearables is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite (SW6100) platform, built using a 3-nanometer manufacturing process. The penta-core architecture guarantees a distinctly higher computing speed compared to previous generations, coupled with energy efficiency that can manage data volume captured by biometric sensors in real-time.

Both models debut the new Super AMOLED panel protected by sapphire glass, pushed to brightness levels never before seen on a smartwatch. For runners and trail runners, advanced metrics like Nutrition Alert (which estimates fluid loss based on body weight and suggests when and how much to drink) and detailed analysis of elevation changes over uneven terrain are introduced. Geolocation is entrusted to a dual-frequency GPS L1+L5 module, ensuring precise tracking even in deep gorges or dense forests.

The hardware features 2 GB of RAM paired with 32 GB of internal memory, with batteries of 390 mAh (40 mm model) and 445 mAh (44 mm model) respectively. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, LTE, and GPS.

BioActive Sensor and AI Algorithm Evolution

The turning point of Samsung's wearable offering lies in the reprocessing of vital parameters through artificial intelligence, managed by the One UI 9 Watch interface based on Wear OS 7. The BioActive sensor combines optical pulse measurement, electrocardiogram (ECG) tracking, and bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA).

• Sleep Apnea Detection: FDA-approved, analyzes variations in saturation and respiration during sleep.
