Acer unveils the (very high) prices of the Predator Atlas 8 with Intel Arc G3

Acer Predator Atlas 8 is preparing for its market debut. The first handheld model with Intel Arc G3, available also in an Extreme version, which offers a substantial upgrade on the GPU side. The handheld has an 8-inch IPS touch display with Full HD resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The main news concerns the (very high) price that risks drastically slowing down the product's spread.

The "price problem" does not only concern Acer: the new Claw from MSI, which uses Intel's G3 chips, also has very high prices.

Prices of the new Acer handheld

Acer has announced the prices of the new Predator Atlas 8 for the United Kingdom. This is an important indication also for the European market. The base model has the Intel Arc G3 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of SSD, along with a 60 Wh battery. The price is £999 (just over €1,150). There is also a configuration with 24 GB of RAM, which costs £1,099 (just under €1,300). The range also includes the Extreme line.

In this configuration, the Predator Atlas 8 will feature Intel Arc G3 Extreme and an 80 Wh battery. The price is £1,299.99 (just over €1,500) for the version with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD. The top-of-the-range model, on the other hand, has 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD. The list price is £1,499.99, equivalent to about €1,750.
