iPad Mini, the OLED display won't be the only novelty of the next generation

The new iPad Mini is close and could bring several novelties compared to the current generation, not limited to the introduction of the OLED display, which has already been widely confirmed by numerous rumors over the past few months. New details about the project have been shared by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

What new features for the new iPad Mini?

According to recent rumors, the new iPad Mini will feature an 8.7-inch OLED display. The latest leaks have confirmed the presence of a 60 Hz limited LTPS display. According to Gurman, however, the tablet will see a significant advancement regarding its processor. The current model features the A17 Pro chip. The new generation could switch to the A19 Pro or even the A20 Pro at 2 nm, which will debut with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in September.

The tablet may also come with 12 GB of RAM, ensuring full support for Apple's advanced Intelligence features and the new version of Siri. For now, however, there are no further details on this.

Apple is expected to present its new iPad Mini in October, alongside other iPad and Mac products. Considering the memory crisis and hardware innovations, the tablet may experience a substantial price increase, in line with the current trend of the Apple product line, which has just recorded a significant price hike.
