The Google Pixel 11a is Coming, Confirmed Directly by Google

Google is set to launch the new Pixel 11 series, which will represent a significant upgrade to its smartphone lineup. As is tradition, the company will focus on the high-end market with its new devices. For the mid-range segment, we will have to wait for the Pixel 11a.

This particular model will arrive in the future, and its launch has been indirectly confirmed by Google, as revealed by a report from Android Authority.

The Pixel 11a is Happening

Google left a reference to the new Pixel 11a in the code of the public beta version of the Phone app, which already contains references to all the new Pixel 11 models arriving in August. In addition to the four models in the series (whose code names are cubs, grizzly, kodiak, and yogi), the app's code contains another model, with the code name formosan.

This code name has previously been associated with the Pixel 11a. Consequently, the information provided by the Phone app represents an important new confirmation regarding the arrival of the new product.

In any case, the launch is not imminent. The timing for updating the Pixel lineup will not change. The new Pixel 11 models will actually launch in the coming weeks, while the Pixel 11a will debut in the early months of next year, likely in March.

It is still early to go into details about Google's future mid-range device, which, for now, will continue to rely on its Pixel 10a to cover the mid-market segment, with a starting price currently around 400 euros (depending on available offers).
