David Beckham Joins the World of Fortnite with Two Exclusive Skins Celebrating His Career
David Beckham is the latest football star to enter Fortnite, the popular video game that over the years has hosted numerous collaborations with famous personalities from the worlds of sports, music, and entertainment. The former midfielder for Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and the English national team will be available in the game's shop starting from today, Friday, July 17, 2026.
The former footballer, now the president and co-owner of Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, will join the Icon Series, a category of Fortnite dedicated to real-life personalities transformed into characters that players can use.
Two different versions of the character will be available. The first will be the David Beckham Outfit skin, which will allow players to switch between a shirted look and a shirtless one. This variant will also include tattoos with a golden glowing effect that activates after eliminating an opponent. The package will also feature a back accessory inspired by Beckham's jersey number and a compatible version for the game's Lego characters.
The second skin of David Beckham in Fortnite will be the Club Owner David Beckham Outfit, which represents his current role as a sports executive through an elegant suit. This version will include a back accessory dedicated to the club emblem, capable of reacting to the player's actions and damage received, along with the corresponding Lego variant.
Beckham now joins a long list of football players already present in Fortnite. The first big football name to arrive in the game was Neymar, who was added in April 2021. Subsequently, Harry Kane and Marco Reus were added in June of the same year, coinciding with the European football championship. In January of the same year, Pelé was introduced via the official emote of the Icon Series, "Pelé's Fist in the Air".
In December 2024, it was the turn of Lionel Messi, followed by the South Korean Son Heung-min in June 2025. More recently, Brazilian Vinícius Júnior joined the title, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup 2026. Beckham stated that Fortnite represents an innovative way to create a connection with fans around the world and explained that he collaborated with the game's team to create content that tells the story of his career both on and off the field.
