New TIM Restructuring: Nearly 3 Euros More per Month for Some Fixed-Line Customers
TIM has announced a new restructuring for its fixed-line customers. This is the latest intervention of this type, through which the operator increases the fees for its customers.
A New Restructuring
As announced in recent hours by the operator, some TIM fixed-line customers will have to deal with an increase of 2.99 euros per month for their subscription, following a unilateral modification of the contract. For some customers, the restructuring can be avoided by requesting a switch to FTTH fiber or FWA network (depending on coverage) at no additional cost and even with a reduction of 1 euro per month in the fee.
The restructuring with technology upgrade can be seen as good news. The first case, involving a fee increase without any changes, falls under the traditional restructurings applied by TIM that, for selected customers, raises expenses by about 36 euros per year.
The change in contract conditions will be effective from the first renewal after October 1, 2026. As always, it is possible to cancel free of charge (even by switching to another operator) to avoid the increase, at no cost. Cancellation can be requested by:
- calling Customer Service at 187
- from the MyTIM Customer Area (after registration)
- writing to TIM - Customer Service - P.O. Box 111 - 00054 Fiumicino (Rome) or via PEC to the address [email protected] (including a photocopy of the identity document and specifying "Modification of contract conditions")
- visiting a TIM store (for the list of TIM stores, visit this link or call Customer Service at 187 for free).
For all details regarding this, one can consult the restructuring announcement published in the specific section of the TIM website.
