FIAT Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback: Here Are the Two New SUVs from the Italian Brand

On the occasion of its 127th anniversary, celebrated on July 11, FIAT has officially announced the arrival of two new models intended to expand its offering for the family segment: Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback.

The announcement was accompanied by a promotional video that plays on an intentionally unusual setting for the launch of a car, namely the offices of an Italian registry office, where FIAT's CEO and global CMO of Stellantis, Olivier Francois, presents the two new models as if it were a registration at the registry office, before transforming the scene into an improvised test drive.

According to Francois, the choice of two distinct variants responds to the goal of targeting different types of customers while maintaining the same value proposition: to offer simple, accessible, and affordable family mobility solutions.

Grizzly is positioned as the SUV-oriented model, aimed at those who prioritize internal space and driving comfort; the Grizzly Fastback shares the same functional content but presents it within a sleeker and more distinctive body style.

In terms of dimensions, Grizzly measures a length of 4.4 meters, a compact format designed to ensure livability and daily use flexibility. The Grizzly Fastback is slightly longer, at 4.5 meters overall, focusing on a more expressive design without compromising practicality: the declared luggage compartment is 600 liters, a significant figure for its category.

On the propulsion front, FIAT has confirmed that both models will be offered with a range of powertrains including gasoline engines, mild hybrid versions, and fully electric variants, with power outputs reaching up to 145 HP. The transmission can be manual or automatic, with the availability of different combinations varying by region.

The color range features seven different colors.

The presentation of the two models fits into the industrial strategy outlined by FIAT during Stellantis' Investor Day, which took place on May 21 in Auburn Hills, during which the brand was indicated as one of the group's most internationally-oriented brands.

The main target areas for Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will be Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, along with South America, markets where FIAT aims to consolidate its offering of accessible mobility.

Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will be shown to the public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show, scheduled for October. The commercial launch of the two models is expected in the last quarter of 2026, with timings that may vary depending on the target markets.
