Xiaomi is working on the new Smart Band 11, launch is near but the new features might be few

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the new Smart Band 11, the next generation model that has long been a benchmark in the smartband market. The confirmation comes from the certification obtained for two Bluetooth devices in China that use serial numbers very similar to previous models in the Smart Band series (M2616B1 and M2617B1). Notably, the series recently saw the debut of the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, a version aimed at replacing smartwatches with advanced features and location detection support, just a few weeks ago.

The new smartband is coming

Xiaomi will create two versions of the Smart Band 11, one with NFC chip and one without NFC chip (the latter is expected to be aimed at the European market, at least initially).

Data is still limited, but the new generation is likely going to be a straightforward refresh of the current model, without substantial improvements or design changes. It has been confirmed that the battery will not change: the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 will indeed carry over the 233 mAh battery used in the previous generation.

The model may have new sensors to improve health monitoring and training, and a new chip aimed at reducing energy consumption, thereby increasing battery life without altering the battery size.

The launch is expected in the coming weeks, with its arrival in Europe (a given considering the success of previous Smart Bands from the Chinese company) scheduled for the last months of the current year. More updates on the new product are surely forthcoming in these weeks. We will know more soon.
