Xiaomi 18 Pro: 2nm chip, Privacy Display and other news for the compact flagship?

Among the upcoming smartphones hitting the market is the Xiaomi 18 Pro, a model set to become a true reference point in the market among compact high-end devices.

A new leak from insider Digital Chat Station tries to anticipate the specifications of the device.

What will the new Xiaomi 18 Pro be like?

According to information released recently, Xiaomi's future compact flagship will feature a 6.4-inch OLED display that, among the new features, may integrate technology similar to Samsung's Privacy Display. There will also be a 2nm flagship chip utilized.

At this moment, it is unclear whether Xiaomi will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 or its Pro variant. According to the insider's information, the choice should lean towards the Pro variant.

As for the camera setup, there will be three rear cameras, including a 200 MP main sensor, a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor. Additionally, there will be a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and wireless charging. A new dual speaker system may also enhance the project.

It is important to note that, for now, there is no confirmation regarding the potential European launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The Pro models of the Xiaomi 17 series did not arrive in Europe. In any case, the Xiaomi 18 series will launch first in China (between September and October) and then in the global market (by late 2026).
