New Electric Jeep Avenger: First Test of the Restyle That Perfects an Already Established Success

Germany, near Frankfurt

For the two-day event organized by Jeep dedicated to the presentation of new models, starting with the new Jeep Avenger, the protagonist of a restyle that introduces interesting aesthetic and functional details without completely altering a recipe that has already won over the European audience. As is our habit, the version we are testing on the road for this first impression is the 100% electric one. To find out right away how it went, you can watch the dedicated video:

The Design: Targeted Touch-Ups, Not a Revolution

The Avenger didn't need a radical change: the commercial success it has achieved so far was clear. Jeep has therefore chosen the path of refinement, mainly focusing on the front end.

The new bumper maintains the unique geometries that have always characterized the model but introduces some novelties:

  • Redesigned vertical protections, even more highlighted in the limited edition color
  • Updated Matrix LED headlights
  • New Jeep seven-segment light signature, illuminated with LEDs, to unify the range with what has already been seen on the new Compass
  • Completely revised alloy wheels

At the rear, the modifications follow the same philosophy: the bumper remains similar in overall layout, but with stylistic refinements and a satin dark gray logo that gives a more premium touch. On the hood, an aesthetic sticker is available as an additional decoration for some trims.

The dimensions remain those of a compact B-SUV: the vehicle measures a little over 4 meters (4.084 m according to Stellantis specifications), confirming its position among the most compact of the segment. But it is precisely the limited overhangs that have always given it pleasing proportions at first glance.

The Interior: More Careful Materials, Confirmed Layout

The interior also follows the logic of "refinement on demand": Jeep has listened to customers and the press, introducing slightly padded materials on the door panels, with a combination of fabric, plastic, and soft surfaces that is pleasant to the touch. The same care is reflected on the dashboard, where the padded leather with double stitching coexists without clash with the pure plastic in less visible areas.

The technological setup remains unchanged:

  • Two displays, with the infotainment screen protruding and the physical controls below dedicated to climate control. The drive mode selector, now rubberized and in red like on the Compass, improves recognition even by touch, without taking your eyes off the road.

Among the confirmed practical details:

  • Compartment with folding cover, including USB-C sockets, ashtray, and wireless smartphone charging, protected by a step that prevents the phone from moving
  • Seats with embroidered Jeep logo and triple headrests in the rear
  • Glass roof with manual shade and electric opening in two positions (tilted or fully open)

In the rear seats, with the seat adjusted for a driver of 1.90 m, knee space is understandably limited, although this configuration remains an edge case. The floor, shared with the other powertrains in the lineup (hybrid, gasoline with manual transmission, and the 4xe version with rear electric motor), features a slight central step that affects the comfort of the middle passenger. Overall, however, it can be confirmed that four average adults can find space in the Avenger without limitations.

The trunk (well visible in our video) confirms the regular shape that has always characterized the Avenger, with 40/60 split seats and a spacious double floor, sufficient even for the home charging cable. In the electric version, the capacity stands at 355 liters, slightly lower than the other powertrains due to the battery elevation in the rear area. In this version, an electro-mechanical tailgate that opens and closes automatically is also available.

Powertrain and Range: The Maturity of a Consolidated Platform

From a technical standpoint, the new electric Avenger does not change compared to the previous generation, confirming a powertrain that has already been extensively tested on all Stellantis’ B-segment electric vehicles:

Characteristic Value
Length 4.084 m
Engine Front electric, 115 kW (156 HP)
Battery 54 kWh
AC Charging Up to 11 kW
DC Charging Up to 100 kW
Range (WLTP) About 400 km
Trunk 355 liters
Rear Seats 40/60 split

The reported data is confirmed in practical tests: the vehicle retrieved with 100% charge indicated exactly 400 km upon activation. Based on previous tests conducted on similar models from the Stellantis group, predominantly urban use allows for easily approaching this value, while in a mixed route, it is realistic to expect over 300 km. The platform seems to have reached its definitive maturity, with margins for improvement now reduced, if not with an increase in battery capacity, which does not seem to be in the plans.

Driving: Confirmed Smoothness, Minimal Defects

Driving in Sport mode, to have all the declared power available, the electric Avenger proves to be eager, with a brilliant acceleration, especially in the 0-50 km/h range. The soundproofing remains a strong point, contributing to a comfortable driving experience.

A slight roll can be felt, a structural defect linked to the center of gravity of the batteries, which rises slightly in the rear area, as this is not a native platform for electric vehicles. Nevertheless, behavior on country roads with curves and uneven surfaces remains pleasant, thanks to a progressive and responsive power delivery that creates a coherent response between the driver’s intentions and the car's behavior.

Kudos go to the positioning of the digital instrumentation, perfectly framed within the empty space of the steering wheel, while the central screen does not create overlaps with the windshield, a detail that is not always managed in the same way on other Stellantis models. The rear visibility, thanks to a well-sized rear window, also remains good.

Colors and Trims

Among the available colors, the limited edition for the brand's 85th anniversary stands out, with gold details paired with a dark green hue, coordinated wheels, and contrasting gold stitching on seats and dashboard. The range also includes an acid green (already seen on the Compass), gray, forest (also in standard version), and red.

The 100% electric version of the new Jeep Avenger is available on the official configurator starting from €39,400. For those looking for a more accessible entry-level version, it's worth noting that the entire Avenger family starts from just over €25,000, with all versions available on the Jeep website.
