Xiaomi's Next Mid-Range Phone Will Feature a 9,000 mAh Battery
Xiaomi is set to update its smartphone range with the new Redmi Note 17 series, arriving next week in China and over the coming months in Europe. This is a significant upgrade. Due to the memory crisis, Xiaomi is focusing on elements beyond mere memory capacity to win over users.
An example comes from the Redmi Note 17 Pro, a model destined to make a mark in the mid-range market. The smartphone will boast an enormous battery, as confirmed by the company.
A Battery Phone for the Mid-Range
The Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature a massive 9,000 mAh battery, with support for 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging, allowing it to function as a true power bank. For the Chinese market, Xiaomi will offer a free battery replacement if the maximum capacity drops below 80% within four years of purchase.
It's important to clarify that these specifications refer to the Chinese version of the smartphone. The "European" Redmi Note 17 Pro may, in fact, differ and may feature a battery with a lower capacity.
Other Specifications
Completing the technical sheet, the new Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature an AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. Meanwhile, the camera setup is expected to include a main 200 MP camera. Additionally, the presence of IP69K certification and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 has been confirmed among the specifications.
