SentinelOne Integrates Prompt Security with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore
SentinelOne has announced a forthcoming integration between Prompt Security and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, AWS's platform for developing and managing artificial intelligence agents. The goal is to extend security controls to the operations performed by agents and their interactions with external models and tools.
The detection capabilities of SentinelOne, along with policy enforcement on AgentCore, will produce indications related to prompt injection detection, exposure of personally identifiable information, validation of tool usage, monitoring of language model responses, and prevention of data leakage.
The indications generated by Prompt Security will be transmitted to the policy engine of AgentCore. AWS will then apply the controls outside of the agent's processing cycle.
This architecture thus separates detection, which may have a probabilistic component, from rule enforcement. The latter remains deterministic: each request is evaluated to determine whether to allow or deny the operation.
According to SentinelOne, the integration will also cover communications between agents and language models, as well as interactions between different agents. This will enable companies to apply common policies across multiple workflows, avoiding the need to embed separate controls in the code of each agent.
The integration will be made available on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore by the end of the year. Customers who already possess a Prompt Security license will be able to use it through the Bring Your Own License program.
"AI agents have become fundamental to the way companies operate," comments Melissa K. Smith, SVP of Global Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives at SentinelOne. "Every organization developing and managing AI agents on AWS requires the same security controls that it leverages for the rest of its infrastructure. This upcoming integration applies such protective measures at the AgentCore gateway, where all agent traffic is evaluated, providing every company with the assurance that existing SentinelOne policies will automatically apply from day one."
