OPPO Brings K-pop to Milan: An Immersive Pop-up for the Launch of Reno16 Series with BABYMONSTER

The Connection Between Technology, Design, and New Cultural Trends

The bond between technology, design, and new cultural trends is becoming stronger, and OPPO demonstrates this with the announcement of the opening of a new experiential space in the heart of Milan.

From July 10 to 12, the CIVIC Portanuova will transform into an interactive hub fully branded OPPO.

The Goal?

To celebrate the official debut of the new Reno16 Series and, at the same time, the international collaboration with the global K-pop phenomenon, BABYMONSTER, chosen by the brand as Reno Ambassadors.

A Design Inspired by "Tiny Planets" and Lots of AI

The real technological heart of the Milan exhibition is the Reno16 Series (here's the review of the Pro), a range aimed at redefining the concept of mobility creativity by combining refined aesthetics with a rich ecosystem of AI-based functions.

Visually, the new devices introduce the so-called 3D Pop Planet Design. This is an aesthetic language that plays with three-dimensional effects, premium finishes, and light refractions, inspired by the idea that every individual is a small planet full of energy and uniqueness.

However, the hardware finds its maximum expression in the software department, led by the new ColorOS 16 interface and AI features tailored for creators.

Among the new features that visitors will be able to test, the Pop Cam stands out—an intelligent tool that allows you to recreate vintage atmospheres with a simple touch.

There is also great curiosity surrounding AI Remix Collage, a feature that enables the mixing of static photos, motion photos, and short video clips into dynamic collages, customizable with animated stickers and predictive editing, ready to be shared on social media in moments.

An Immersive Experience Between Technology and Exclusive Gifts

The visual identity of the collaboration between the Asian manufacturer and BABYMONSTER will come to life within the pop-up through installations, dedicated graphics, and structural elements reflecting the tones and lines of the 3D Pop Planet Design.

The audience will not be limited to observing; the event is designed to be highly interactive. Within the space, it will indeed be possible to try out the Reno16 range phones to capture, record, and create multimedia content using the props provided.

At the end of the journey, visitors will be able to scan a QR code to download all the material created onto their smartphones and publish it on their channels.

To encourage engagement, the company has also planned dedicated activities and exclusive giveaways for all those who share their experience on social media inside or outside the pop-up.
