Cyberpunk 2077 Doesn't Stop and Reaches a New Important Sales Milestone

Despite a disastrous launch (especially in light of expectations), Cyberpunk 2077 has managed to win over gamers year after year. This is confirmed by the latest sales data update. The game has just surpassed another historic milestone.

An Another Milestone for Cyberpunk 2077

The game has reached and exceeded the target of 40 million copies sold. This is a remarkable achievement, facilitated by a now more accessible price, especially considering that last November the game had reached 35 million units. Essentially, in just over 7 months, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold about 5 million copies (probably thanks to the Switch 2 version). The numbers confirm the spread of the phenomenon. Over the years, the game has become a benchmark in the market, also due to its technical quality.

Michal Nowakowski, co-CEO of CD Projekt, commented: "The 40 million copies sold demonstrate the incredible and lasting strength of Cyberpunk 2077 and testify to what CD Projekt does best: create engaging and high-quality stories that drive players to return for years. This is an excellent foundation for our upcoming projects in this universe, including the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 coming this fall."

Cyberpunk 2077 has not managed to reach the numbers of The Witcher 3, which, throughout its career, has sold over 65 million copies worldwide, considering the various platforms on which the title is available. The game will naturally have a sequel that will arrive in the near future.
