The new Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 appear online but the real innovation will be under the hood
In a few weeks (there is still no official date, although some rumors abound), Samsung will hold a new Galaxy Unpacked event to showcase new products. The Galaxy Watch 9 are also on the way, which today are revealed online in the first renders. It’s worth noting that Samsung also plans to launch a new Ultra model.
New smartwatches for Samsung
In addition to the new Galaxy Z, the company will update its range of smartwatches with the debut of the new Galaxy Watch 9. The new series of smartwatches from the Korean company is expected to be a complete refresh of the current models. Confirmation came from the first renders shared online by tipster OnLeaks and Android Headlines.
There will not be substantial changes regarding the range composition. This year, users will once again have a 40 mm version available in Cream and Graphite colors, and a 44 mm version in Silver and Graphite.
As mentioned in previous days, the big news is the transition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC, manufactured with a 3nm process and equipped with a dedicated NPU for AI functionality processing. The new chip, which replaces the Exynos, is expected to offer better performance and reduced power consumption.
Launch prices will likely be high, but as is often the case, Samsung should offer promotional bundles, possibly with the new Galaxy Z, ensuring users can lower the cost of purchasing the smartwatch.
