iPhone 18 Pro: Confirmed Changes for the Camera Sector - Will It Be a Generational Leap?
One of the main new features for the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, set to be released in September, will concern the camera sector, with Apple attempting to "hide" the inevitable price increase due to the memory crisis, by placing greater focus on the cameras, especially the new main camera. These changes will also bring a slight update to the smartphone's design.
A Confirmed Upgrade
A new report confirms the upcoming changes for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. The smartphones will feature a new main camera with variable aperture, a feature that is expected to provide greater flexibility for users while shooting. It is also worth noting that the sensor will be larger compared to the previous generation.
These changes will result in a camera island that will become even more prominent, with an increase of about 2 mm compared to what was seen with the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. This increase in size could lead to a slight difference in weight distribution and might make the camera island even more noticeable, appearing more detached from the rest of the body.
Apple may also integrate other new features for the additional sensors and could enhance the software with previously unseen functionalities, ensuring a further leap in quality for the camera capabilities of its top-of-the-line models. The official debut of the new models is now set for next September, alongside the launch of the company's first foldable device, the iPhone Ultra.
