ShiftCam Launches New LensUltra Range: Additional Lenses for Smartphones

ShiftCam has officially announced the debut of the new LensUltra family of lenses, a platform designed to enhance the photographic capabilities of smartphones through the use of dedicated optics. Following a preliminary announcement made in recent months, the company has detailed two different product lines aimed at satisfying varying needs and levels of experience.

The P Series represents the most accessible offering and targets casual photographers, travelers, and users who wish to approach the world of external lenses for smartphones. These lenses are designed to work with the compatible devices' 1x main camera and include three specific solutions: a 60mm telephoto for portraits and everyday scenes, a 16mm wide-angle ideal for landscapes and indoor environments, and a 10x Macro lens designed to capture close-up details of flowers, food, or small insects.

According to ShiftCam, these optics allow for image modification before it reaches the smartphone sensor, offering a more natural framing and greater compositional freedom compared to the use of digital zoom. Each lens in the P Series is priced at $129, while the complete kit is available for $299.

ShiftCam also offers the V Series of LensUltra for those seeking superior performance. This series features a more sophisticated construction that includes fluorite glass, advanced optical coatings, and design aimed at reducing chromatic aberrations. These models use the new S.Mount attachment system, which allows for the use of larger and more complex lenses. The V range includes a 60mm telephoto, a 16mm wide-angle, a 75mm long-distance macro lens, and a 200-degree fisheye. Additionally, it is compatible with the company’s cinematic filter range. Individual optics cost just under $200, while the complete package with case, aluminum cover, and magnetic filters is priced at $1,049.

To use the new lenses, a dedicated ShiftCam case is required. Currently, several models are supported, including iPhones from the 14 to the 17 Pro, along with Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.
