HONOR exaggerates: a smartphone with a 14,000 mAh battery is coming

HONOR is strengthening its lineup with several smartphones, focusing particularly on battery capacity. The company has just unveiled the new mid-range X80 Pro Max, which boasts an 11,000 mAh battery. However, looking to the future, HONOR aims even higher with the goal of creating a truly extreme battery phone.

A super battery in development

According to new information, HONOR is expected to launch a smartphone with a 14,000 mAh battery in the near future. This product is still in development and its release is not imminent. The new battery phone may debut in the second half of 2026 or early 2027.

The company is carefully working on updating its smartphone range, and a model with such a large battery represents the natural evolution of the work done in the past, with the launch of various battery phones. HONOR has managed to develop devices with high-capacity batteries without significantly increasing thickness and weight. For instance, the aforementioned X80 Pro Max has a thickness of 8.1 mm and weighs 203 grams, while still offering a substantial 11,000 mAh battery.

More details on the project may be revealed in the coming weeks. Due to local regulations, the smartphone is not expected to arrive in Europe, where HONOR often tends to reduce the battery capacity of its smartphones compared to their Chinese counterparts.
