One of the most interesting programs is Reliability Promise, an initiative dedicated to business users who purchase selected Acer products. The operation is simple: by registering the device within 30 days of purchase, the user can benefit from a formula that provides not only warranty repair in case of breakdown during the first year but also a full refund of the purchase price. This is a solution aimed at reinforcing trust in the reliability of Acer for Business devices, offering concrete protection especially for those who use the PC as a central tool in their work activities.
The program is aimed at end users who are VAT holders and applies to participating products purchased by January 31, 2027. From an operational perspective, the process involves three steps:
- Register the device within 30 days of purchase at this address.
- Potential repair at an authorized Acer service center.
- Request a refund after the repair.
For companies and professionals, this means being able to count on additional coverage that reduces the risk related to machine downtime and protects the initial investment.
How Reliability Promise Works
Acer has defined clear rules for adhering to the Reliability Promise program. The initiative is indeed valid exclusively for selected products included in the official promotion list; devices not on the list cannot access the benefits provided. Another crucial aspect concerns the product registration, which must be carried out within 30 days from the date on the purchase invoice. Once this time window has passed, it is no longer possible to join the program.
Each end user can register up to 20 products per year, provided each device is among those included in the initiative. In case of technical problems, Acer encourages users to utilize its official support to open a support request and organize repairs through authorized centers. Only repairs carried out directly by Acer or certified partners allow access to the refund provided by the promotion. After warranty repair, the user has 30 days to submit the refund request. Once approved, Acer states that the payment is made via bank transfer within 75 days of validation of the request. For completing the registration, it is also necessary to upload a copy of the invoice or purchase receipt, essential documentation for verifying the eligibility of the product and request.
Optimize Acer Care Plus: The PC is Renewed Before the End of Its Life Cycle
Alongside purchase protection, Acer also proposes an approach oriented toward managing the life cycle of devices through Optimize Acer Care Plus. In this case, the concept is to combine warranty extension and scheduled renewal of the device. The user purchases an Acer notebook or desktop with the Optimize service, uses the product for up to 5 years, and then can return it, purchasing a new Acer device and receiving a refund on the previous one, calculated as a percentage of the original price.
The recognized value varies based on the moment of return:
- Up to 55% within the first year
- 45% within the second
- 35% within the third
- 25% within the fourth
- 15% within the fifth year
The refund is calculated as a percentage of the original purchase price of the product, up to a maximum value of €1,000 and with a maximum refund of €550. Any exceeding amount does not count towards the refund calculation. The goal is twofold: on one hand, to facilitate the transition to newer models, and on the other, to help companies and professionals plan their IT investments better, maintaining an updated hardware provision over time.
