The new Redmi Note 17 is coming: battery life won't be an issue

Xiaomi is preparing to update its mid-range smartphone lineup with the arrival of the Redmi Note 17 series, which is expected to be launched in China during July 2026, and later in Europe. While awaiting official confirmations, a new leak hints at what the main specifications of the upcoming models will be. With the new series, Xiaomi aims to offer very high battery life for its mid-range phones, thanks to the use of high-capacity silicon-carbon batteries.

A super battery for the new Redmi Note

Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 17 series soon. As usual, the range will consist of different variants. Among the incoming models, at least one will feature a remarkable 9,000 mAh battery, offering truly top-notch market battery life. The smartphone is expected to include a Snapdragon 6 series SoC (probably the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5), capable of combining good performance with minimal power consumption. The technical sheet will also include a Full HD+ display, two stereo speakers, and a waterproof certification.

Later on, the series should see the debut of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, the flagship model expected in August or September. This smartphone will be equipped with a huge 10,000 mAh battery. For the European launch, however, we will have to wait until autumn. It should be noted that the European versions of the smartphones may have slightly different specifications and, above all, a smaller battery. We will know more about this in the coming weeks.
