AMD's video cards could increase in price soon: the reason for the price rise is always the same
The crisis in memory is at risk of becoming an even bigger problem for AMD. The company, which is already facing tough times, may need to further increase the prices of its video cards, resulting in a significant hike for consumer customers.
A new price increase for Radeon?
A new report confirms the possible price increase of AMD's video cards, which, during the second half of 2026, could register a rise of 10-15% compared to current prices.
Several factors must be considered, and the price increase could be a natural consequence of the new market conditions. Memory, in fact, is becoming increasingly expensive, and AMD, like many other tech companies, faces the necessity of addressing the rising costs of this fundamental component.
There's also another element not to be underestimated: TSMC continues to raise prices, and producing chips with Taiwanese foundries is becoming more costly for companies like AMD.
The combination of these elements could be decisive and lead to an increase in the list price and, consequently, the street price of Radeon cards. Beyond the price increase, there could also be an availability problem, with reduced stock limited to selected models.
The situation will need to be closely monitored in the coming weeks. In the meantime, however, a scenario in which AMD cards become increasingly expensive is highly likely and could further reduce the brand's presence in the market.
