Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at the center of new leaks: Samsung may focus on a refined design with thinner bezels
Samsung's upcoming smartwatches are back in the spotlight thanks to new rumors revealing some details about the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Watch 9 models.
According to the information that has emerged online, the South Korean company is preparing a new generation of wearable devices with aesthetic updates and some technical modifications. As for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, rumors suggest that Samsung will maintain the stylistic line introduced with the first model.
The leaked images show a design with a squircle case shape, which is a combination of square and rounded elements, instead of the classic circular look typical of many smartwatches. Although the overall look is expected to remain similar, targeted changes are anticipated. The new model may feature thinner bezels around the display, potentially offering a wider visual surface and a more immersive experience.
The area dedicated to the side buttons is also expected to undergo some modifications. Another element subject to updates would be the distinctive orange Quick Button. According to renders circulating online, the button could abandon the all-orange color for a more discreet solution with only a colored border.

Further details about the leaked renders related to the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 indicate that the available images are not actual photographs of the final product, but rather software representations. For this reason, some details may change before the official launch. The leaks also speak of the future Galaxy Watch 9. Unlike previous models, the standard device may adopt a more squared appearance.
Furthermore, Samsung might not present a Classic version this year, focusing mainly on the two models: Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The Galaxy Watch 9 is expected to arrive in three colors: beige, black, and silver, accompanied by new straps. Both smartwatches could also receive new watch faces and additional functions thanks to One UI 9 Watch, based on Wear OS 7.
Information about the batteries has also emerged: the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 could use an 800 mAh unit, while the Galaxy Watch 9 may integrate a 400 mAh battery. The official presentation of the new devices is expected alongside Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones during a Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 22 in London.
