ASUS ROG Strix LC IV: performance and visual impact are guaranteed, but they come at a price
ASUS has unveiled the new ROG Strix LC IV series, a family of AIO coolers that introduces an upgraded platform in terms of internal architecture, connection management, and aesthetics. The new generation promises up to 10% better cooling capacity compared to the previous model, accompanied by a noise reduction that can reach 3 dB(A).
The main novelty concerns the new high-performance pump, equipped with a more efficient three-phase motor characterized by six slots and four poles. ASUS has also adopted a copper plate with microchannels, designed to maximize contact with the processor and transfer heat to the coolant more effectively. The pump housing, on the other hand, uses PPS material, chosen to ensure long-term stability and reliability.
The cooling system employs a 360 mm aluminum radiator with a thickness of 27 mm. Supporting it are three pre-installed ROG Strix ARGB fans, developed to ensure high static pressure and abundant airflow. The fans operate within a range of 800 to 2,500 RPM, providing a maximum airflow of 82.57 CFM and static pressure up to 4.36 mmH₂O, while the maximum stated noise level stands at 35.78 dB(A).
Interestingly, the fans are installed on a rather atypical monoblock frame with ARGB lighting. This is not just about simple "light effects"; it features a design that echoes the brand's logo and lettering with an "infinite mirror" effect, all illuminated in a very cyberpunk style that ASUS has named Aura Fan Edge.
Among the distinctive elements of the series is the new ASUS AIO Q-Connector, a solution that allows, on compatible motherboards, to manage power, fans, and the pump without visible cables between the cooler, radiator, and motherboard. This significantly reduces wiring complexity. Systems without compatible ASUS motherboards, however, will have to continue using traditional connections.
Completing the package, a 5.08-inch IPS display has been positioned on the pump cover with a resolution of 720 × 720 pixels. Through the ASUS InfoHub software, it is possible to view system information, data from sensors, animations, or custom images.
The new range will arrive in two variants. The standard model uses 400 mm tubes, offering greater flexibility during installation. The SLC version, on the other hand, adopts 250 mm tubes and is specifically designed for configurations based on ASUS BTF motherboards, aimed at hiding internal connections as much as possible.
The ROG Strix LC IV series supports the latest-generation Intel and AMD platforms, including LGA 1851, LGA 1700, AM5, and AM4. All models are already available with a recommended price of €239.90.
