Logitech G305 Lightspeed and G316 X 98: 8,000 Hz and hot-swap arrive at a popular price

Logitech G

Logitech G has announced the expansion of the G3 series dedicated to PC gaming with the arrival of the new wireless mouse G305 X SUPERLIGHT and the wired mechanical keyboard G316 X 98. The two products join the already available wireless headset G325 X and complete an ecosystem designed to offer features typical of the premium segment at a much more accessible price.

The new Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT carries the legacy of the previous G305, one of the most appreciated peripherals in the company’s catalog, but introduces a series of technical updates. The device integrates the HERO 44K sensor with 44,000 DPI and weighs about 59 grams, similar to the new G Pro X2 Superstrike that we reviewed, aimed at the professional eSports segment.

The mouse also supports the PRO LIGHTSPEED receiver, which allows for an update rate of up to 8000 Hz. On the connectivity front, users can switch between low-latency LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connection. The stated autonomy exceeds 130 hours, while charging via USB-C allows for up to 3.5 hours of use after just two minutes of power.

Particular attention has also been given to the longevity and environmental impact of the device. The G305 X SUPERLIGHT uses at least 51% recycled plastic and features visible screws that facilitate any repair and maintenance operations.

Alongside the mouse, the new Logitech G316 X 98 mechanical keyboard debuts, a solution aimed at combining the needs of competitive gaming with the flexibility required by enthusiasts of custom configurations. The keyboard also operates with an 8000 Hz update rate, resulting in a response time of 0.125 milliseconds, values that allow for almost instant input.

The G316 X 98 adopts a snap-fit multi-layer gasket design without screws, developed to enhance structural solidity and provide a more refined typing experience acoustically as well. Additionally, the keyboard integrates an LED display with a control knob, through which you can modify the update rate and brightness, as well as manage music and volume.

Customization options are one of the central elements of the product. The device offers 30 dedicated RGB zones, LIGHTSYNC RGB per key lighting, macro support, key remapping via the G HUB software, alongside compatibility with dedicated keycaps and replaceable hot-swap switches.

The Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT will be available from June 30 in white and black color options at a price of €79.99. The Logitech G316 X 98 will arrive on the same date and in the same color options at a price of €119.99.
