Huawei Targets the Computer Segment: PCs with HarmonyOS Ready to Conquer the Market
Huawei continues to pursue its path of independence (forced by American sanctions). The next step in its growth program concerns the desktop computer sector, also considering notebooks.
HarmonyOS for desktop is ready for a commercial launch in China, with a focus on business clientele. This confirmation came from the company itself during the Huawei Developer Conference. The month to mark on the calendar is September 2026.
Huawei's new computers with HarmonyOS are ready.
Huawei is strongly focused on developing a complete product ecosystem. To achieve this goal, presence in the desktop computer sector becomes essential. The company has already presented some models and is working on developing an increasingly articulated range.
Zhu Dongdong, President of Huawei's Tablet and PC product line, has confirmed that commercial desktop computers with HarmonyOS will be launched next September. Complete details will be released at a later time.
It is clear, however, that the company looks to the future with a specific goal: growth in the computer segment, after achieving good results in China with smartphones, is a central element of its future strategy.
For the moment, the project concerns only the domestic market: indeed, China is the focus of Huawei's activity, which, outside its national borders, concentrates on "secondary" products such as tablets, smartwatches, and earbuds. In the future, however, the company could carve out its space outside of China.
