Dyson V10 Konical: the first vacuum cleaner with automatic emptying base

Dyson has introduced today the V10 Konical with Auto-empty Dok, its first cordless vacuum cleaner paired with a charging base that automatically empties the container. The system arrives on the Italian market at a combined price starting from €499 for the vacuum cleaner, with the base available in the coming weeks for €150.

The breakthrough compared to the previous range is not only in power, which has increased by 30% over the Dyson V8 to 150 Air Watts. The real leap is in eliminating one of the most annoying tasks in managing a portable vacuum cleaner: manually emptying the container. Once placed on the base, the V10 Konical automatically discharges dust and debris into a 2.5-liter sealed bag, with enough capacity for approximately 60 days of regular use.

Dyson announces V10 Konical, the first with an automatic emptying base.

On the mechanical side, the most concrete innovation is the All Floor Cones conical brush. The conical geometry of the roller forces long hair (tested up to 60 cm) and pet fur towards the edges, where they are directly expelled without tangling. The result is that no scissors or hands are needed to free the roller at the end of a session. A green lighting system with a laser-like effect reveals surface dirt that is not visible to the naked eye on hard floors.

Filtration relies on a fully sealed five-stage HEPA system, certified to capture 99.99% of particles down to 0.1 microns according to ASTM F3150 standards, including allergens and bacteria. The same filtration principle works during the automatic emptying on the Auto-empty Dok, preventing fine dust from dispersing into the air during the operation.

The complete specifications of the V10 Konical clearly outline the product positioning: weighing 2.65 kg, a 0.54-liter container, three operating modes (Eco, Medium, and Boost) and a declared run time of 60 minutes in Eco mode, a 50% increase compared to the V8. Dyson also plans a replaceable battery to double the overall run time.

On the compatibility front, the Auto-empty Dok base also works with the already existing Dyson V8 Cyclone models, and the accessories are interchangeable among V8, V8 Cyclone, and the new V10 Konical. Those who have already invested in the Dyson ecosystem can purchase just the base without changing the vacuum cleaner. The V10 Konical is already available for purchase at €499; the Auto-empty Dok, sold separately for €150, will be available in the coming weeks on Dyson.it and at authorized retailers.
