Honor X80 Pro Max: launch date of the new smartphone with record battery unveiled
Honor has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming smartphone, the Honor X80 Pro Max, set for presentation on June 22 at 7:00 PM local time in China. The device has already appeared on Asian e-commerce platforms, unveiling a package of specifications that strongly focuses on energy longevity and structural solidity, positioning itself as one of the most interesting options for users prioritizing battery life in 2026.
The most noteworthy technical feature is clearly the 11,000 mAh battery, the largest unit ever integrated by the brand into a mobile phone. To mitigate the long restoration times required by such amperage, the manufacturer has implemented support for 90W wired fast charging. The smartphone also supports 27W reverse wired charging, a feature that allows external accessories or other phones to be powered, using the device as a true portable emergency power bank.
Features Leaked About Honor's New Battery Phone
In terms of design and configuration, the information released on the official website indicates the presence of four color variants (Lightning Red, Black Armour, also known as Xuanjia Black, Moon Shadow White, and Vitality Orange) combined with various memory configurations. Buyers can choose between configurations with 8GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage, as well as a larger variant featuring 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The front hosts a 6.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2788 x 1280 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and PWM modulation at 3840Hz to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. Some rumors indicate a theoretical peak brightness of 10,000 nits, a value never mentioned even in the marketing material by various smartphone manufacturers. It remains unclear under what scenario the value indicated by the Asian manufacturer was measured.
Under the hood, according to unofficial sources, performance is managed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. The choice of a mid-range processor is consistent with the goal of maximizing energy efficiency, as seen with the realme P4 Power. The camera section is expected to rely on a 50MP main rear sensor, while security is ensured by biometric systems equivalent to those of high-end models.
The chassis of the Honor X80 Pro Max is designed to withstand severe usage conditions, boasting IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications against dust ingress and high-pressure or high-temperature water jets. To further reassure users, the company has integrated improved drop protection and has provided a free display replacement program for accidental damage eligible during the coverage period.
