Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2: Battery Life Won't Be an Issue with 35% Increase in Capacity

Among the new features coming at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for July, there will also be an update to Samsung's smartwatch range. In addition to the Galaxy Watch 9, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, the new flagship of the Korean company's line, is set to be released.

One of the key features of the device will be a significant battery upgrade, which is a central element of the project and will ensure a battery life that is noticeably superior to its predecessor.

The Latest on Galaxy Watch Ultra 2

The current Galaxy Watch Ultra has a battery capacity of 590 mAh. Its successor, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 (commercial name not yet known), will have a battery of 784 mAh, which the Korean company might advertise as an 800 mAh unit. Assuming this information proves correct, the smartwatch should feature a substantial upgrade in this component, with the potential to offer significantly better battery life to users.

The battery capacity is expected to see a 35% increase (approximately; the actual percentage will be defined based on the true battery capacity). It is worth noting that the smartwatch should also introduce the new Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, set to take over from Samsung's Exynos W1000.

Qualcomm's chip will provide even more efficiency and also include a low-power NPU (Neural Processing Unit). Additional confirmations regarding the specifications of the new smartwatch should arrive soon.

The debut is slated for Samsung's next Unpacked event, which will take place at the end of July, according to the latest rumors.
