The New Dodge Charger Arrives in Italy: Electric or Thermal, Always with Power to Sell
Dodge has officially opened orders for the new generation of the Charger in the Old Continent, and the absolute protagonist carries a name that evokes pure speed: Charger Daytona. Completely electric.
The World's First BEV Muscle Car
It’s not an experiment, it’s not a technological compromise imposed by the times: the Dodge Charger Daytona is simply the fastest and most powerful all-wheel-drive muscle car ever made. And it says it with numbers, without the need for justifications.
The electric range consists of two variants that cover two different levels of ambition:
- Daytona R/T: 400 kW (536 hp), 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds, quarter mile in 12.4 seconds
- Daytona Scat Pack: 500 kW (670 hp), 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds, quarter mile in 11.5 seconds
Both rely on a 100% BEV architecture at 400 volts with a 100.5 kWh battery and a dual Electric Drive Module (EDM), one for each axle, for standard all-wheel drive. Supercar performance, in a muscle car body.
The Sound You Didn't Expect from an Electric
One of the biggest challenges for any battery muscle car is sound. Dodge resolves this with the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, a system that generates a performance-oriented sound experience, unique in the EV landscape, capable of delivering that "growl" that has always belonged to the brand’s DNA. This is not just any simulation: it is an engineering element designed to evoke emotions.
On the steering wheel, there’s also the PowerShot button, which unlocks about 40 additional hp for a few seconds of even more brutal acceleration when the situation calls for it.
Modern Muscle Car Charging
Those who fear long stops at charging stations will find reassuring numbers. The Charger Daytona supports DC fast charging up to 183 kW peak, with a session from 20% to 80% completing in about 27 minutes. In just 10 minutes of fast charging, up to 110 km of range can be recovered. The battery is covered by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty.
The aesthetics introduce the aerodynamic R-Wing and the illuminated Fratzog logo, elements that make the Daytona immediately recognizable. Inside, the cockpit is built around the driver: a 16-inch digital instrument cluster, Head-Up Display, a flat top and bottom steering wheel, regenerative braking paddles, redesigned “pistol-grip” gear shifter, and Attitude Adjustment lighting with 64 selectable colors.
For those who want to push it further, the optional Track package adds 16-inch Brembo brakes with red calipers, asymmetric tires (305/325) on 20" wheels, adaptive damping suspension, and the Drive eXperience Recorder to analyze every session.
Official Prices for Europe
The Charger range starts at 66,000 euros, with first deliveries expected from September 2026. Orders can be made through KWA, the official Dodge importer in Europe. Daytona customers will also receive access to dedicated pricing for wallboxes and installation through Free2move.
Alongside the electric Daytona, Dodge is also bringing to Europe the Charger with the Hurricane SIXPACK engine, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder with all-wheel drive. The Scat Pack delivers 550 hp and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, while the R/T offers 420 hp with a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds.
