The MacBook with Touch Display is Coming and Its Debut is Near, According to a New Leak

The MacBook lineup has seen several updates over the past few years. The latest addition, the MacBook Neo, has represented a true revolution for Apple's laptop offerings, successfully aiming to capture the 'lower' segment of the market for the first time, according to initial data. However, there is another significant novelty on the horizon: the first MacBook with a touch display is set to arrive. This project has been confirmed by insider Instant Digital, who is always well-informed about upcoming news in the Apple world.

An Ultra MacBook?

The touch support is deemed 100% certain by the insider. Apple may introduce this feature in the new MacBooks with OLED displays, set to enrich the MacBook Pro range or give rise to a new product line, the MacBook Ultras.

The introduction of touch will be accompanied by a series of optimizations for macOS, as Apple aims to avoid the difficulties that many Windows users experience with similar devices.

The launch is expected, most likely, by the end of 2026. The new MacBook with a touch display is expected to eliminate the notch and feature a Dynamic Island, following a similar evolutionary path to that seen with the iPhones.

For now, however, touch support should be limited to the high-end range of MacBooks. In the future, this feature could be extended to other Apple notebooks at a more accessible price point.
