The executive teased the novelty by addressing the community with clear words, inviting everyone who has patiently waited for a certain speaker to keep an eye on their inbox over the next week.

This communication puts an end to a long wait for the renewal of Mountain View's audio range. Currently, the company's official store only offers the old Nest Mini and Nest Audio models, products that have shown their age in the market and that have long needed a generational update. The announcement of the new hardware is expected to occur in a few days and will clarify all the technical aspects that are still pending.

The integration of Gemini and synergy with Google TV Streamer

The first hints about the new model had already emerged a couple of weeks ago when Best Buy Canada mistakenly published the product in its online catalog, an oversight initially detected by the specialized outlet 9to5Google. In that instance, both images of the speaker, which show a different aesthetic compared to the past, and the color options, which will be two, were leaked. The commercial name of the product is expected to be Google Home Speaker.

The technical aspect of the device is set to focus on computing capabilities assisted by proprietary algorithms. The main novelty consists of the adoption of the AI of Gemini, which will become the core of managing the home environment. This evolution will allow Google to respond to direct competition in the voice assistant sector, mainly represented by Amazon's Alexa-based solutions, an ecosystem already widely distributed in the Italian market.

In addition to the potentials related to artificial intelligence, the new Google Home Speaker will offer advanced connectivity with other multimedia products of the brand. Data indicates that users will have the option to simultaneously connect two units of the speaker to the Google TV Streamer. This association will allow for immersive soundtracks and sound playback, creating a wireless home theater system for the living room capable of ensuring a significant improvement in reproduction fidelity.

The commercial positioning of the new model is set at a threshold of 99.99 American dollars. Sales channels are expected to officially open by the end of the current month, with a commercial distribution date estimated for June 25, right after the official presentation scheduled for next week.
