NEURA Robotics Raises Significant Funding for Humanoid Robots That Can Be Paid

NEURA Robotics has announced the closure of a Series C funding round with a maximum value of $1.4 billion, one of the most substantial private transactions ever recorded in the field of humanoid robotics and so-called physical AI. Leading the investment is Tether, a company known for the USDT stablecoin, alongside a group of investors that includes NVIDIA, Amazon, Qualcomm Technologies, Bosch, Schaeffler, imec.xpand, European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon, and InterAlpen Partners.

Founded in 2019 and based in Metzingen, Germany, NEURA Robotics develops a range of solutions that spans from humanoid robots to precision robotic arms, as well as autonomous mobile robots and service systems designed to operate in shared environments with humans. The company aims to combine advanced cognitive capabilities with operational autonomy, a segment attracting increasing interest from the technology and manufacturing industries.

According to sources close to the transaction, the round could bring the company's valuation to around $7 billion, although the company has not officially commented on this figure. The completion of the entire financing would also be subject to achieving specific business and operational goals.

The investment comes at a time of strong expansion in the sector. Data from Dealroom indicates that companies active in robotics raised a total of $55.8 billion throughout 2026, a record value and nearly double the previous annual high. Although most capital continues to concentrate in the United States and China, European entities capable of attracting significant investments are also emerging.

In addition to the financial boost, the agreement provides for a technological collaboration between Tether and NEURA Robotics. The company led by Paolo Ardoino will integrate some of its technologies within the software ecosystem Neuraverse developed by the German company. Among these is the Wallet Development Kit (WDK), an open-source platform that will allow robots to possess digital wallet functionalities for autonomous management. In the future, such systems could enable machines to receive compensation for completed tasks and execute automatic transactions within predetermined operational parameters, integrating economic settlements directly into workflows.

At the same time, QVAC, the edge AI runtime developed by Tether, will also be adopted. This solution is designed to run artificial intelligence models locally on the device, minimizing dependence on remote cloud infrastructures. This approach reduces latency, improves operational reliability, and maintains process continuity even in industrial contexts where availability and response times represent fundamental requirements.

According to David Reger, founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics, the next evolution of artificial intelligence will not be confined to screens but will manifest through systems capable of moving, interacting, and collaborating with people in the real world. This vision is also shared by Tether, which sees the integration of local processing, decision-making autonomy, and transaction capabilities as a key element for the spread of increasingly independent robots.
