UGREEN introduces the new high-performance NASync GT at a competitive price

UGREEN has surprised the market with the launch of its NAS series, NASync, which quickly became a best seller thanks to a winning combination of powerful hardware and flexible software. The company has presented the new devices in the NASync DXP GT range, designed for those who need greater computing power and high transfer speeds.

UGREEN NASync DXP GT: High-End Hardware and 10 GbE

The GT series makes a leap forward compared to previous models thanks to high-end hardware features, making these devices attractive even in cases where performance becomes the fundamental criterion. The NASync GT series raises the bar for home and office NAS devices with significant hardware improvements: the processor is an AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514 with 4 cores and 8 threads, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM with two slots compatible with ECC memory for a maximum of 64 GB. There are two 10 Gbps Ethernet ports (on the DXP4800 GT; the DXP2800GT has one), providing adequate bandwidth, for example, for real-time 4K video editing directly from the NAS.

From a storage perspective, the bays support both SATA and U.2 drives, and there are two M.2 PCIe Gen 3x2 slots for NVMe SSDs that can be used, for example, for virtual machines or Docker containers. A 64 GB eMMC memory allows hosting the UGOS Pro operating system, thus not occupying space on hard disks or SSDs. Additionally, there are USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader for quickly backing up external media.

The devices are also equipped with an HDMI output, allowing you to connect a screen to enjoy multimedia content or, more generally, to interact directly with the device.

The NAS are designed to run 24 hours a day, thanks to the use of industrial-grade components, and to host a software suite that enables the creation of a true private cloud platform through applications like Home Assistant, Jellyfin, Plex, and Paperless. In this way, UGREEN enables its users to significantly save on subscription costs for various cloud services, such as storage, while still enjoying the convenience they offer. The new NAS indeed allow for a blend of cloud convenience with local storage performance: particularly important elements, for example, for those working with 4K videos or high-resolution photographs.
