Xiaomi 18: First Rumors Arise About Compact Size, Great Power, and High Battery Life

After the launch of the new Xiaomi 17T and the Xiaomi 17 Max (currently available only in China), the company is focusing on the Xiaomi 18 series, which is expected to consist of several variants. Among these will be the Xiaomi 18, the successor to the compact flagship also available in Italy (the Xiaomi 17). The smartphone is the subject of a new leak that reveals some specifications.

How the New Xiaomi 18 Will Be

From the initial information, the Xiaomi 18 is expected to feature a display of about 6.4 inches diagonally, with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, minimal bezels, and a 2K resolution. Despite its compact size, at least by current market standards, the smartphone will not compromise on a high-capacity battery. The model is expected to integrate a 7,000 mAh battery (with support for fast charging and wireless charging). Among other specifications, it will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 SoC.

Xiaomi will continue to diversify its range, and thus the Pro line will have exclusive features, such as an external display and new 200 MP sensors (main and periscopic telephoto) that will not be included in the specifications of the Xiaomi 18. However, this model remains quite interesting, especially because it is expected to be the only one arriving in Italy from the new series, along with the Ultra cameraphone. More details will emerge over the coming weeks, with the launch expected to take place in September.
