Iliad launches its first FWA offer for home Internet even without fiber optics

Iliad has updated its range of offerings with the launch of the new 5G BOX Casa. This is a new offer for home Internet connection that, for the first time, brings Iliad to propose a connection technology different from FTTH fiber.

In fact, it is an FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) offer, a technology designed to guarantee high-speed connections (also thanks to integration with 5G) for fixed-line users not reached by the fiber optic network.

The FWA network, we remember, is a "mixed fiber radio" because the connection between the user's home and the operator's repeater occurs wirelessly while the repeater itself is connected to the rest of the network via fiber optics.

The new 5G BOX CASA from Iliad includes an unlimited connection via FWA network up to 300 Mbps for downloads and 50 Mbps for uploads and adds the 5G WiFi 6 router for free use.

The device is self-installable, and no technician intervention is necessary. There is no landline.

As for the costs, Iliad’s FWA offer has a monthly fee of €26.99 forever, which is reduced to €22.99 per month for Iliad mobile customers with a mobile offer of at least €9.99 per month (this is the same mechanism as the fiber offer). To obtain the discount, it is possible to activate one of the new TOP offers. This offer also allows you to create an Iliadclub, allowing you to earn extra Giga for your Iliad SIM at no additional cost.
