Will iOS 27 Disappoint? iOS 28 Could Be a 'More Significant' Update

iOS 27

iOS 27 could be a disappointing update, at least in terms of new features available to iPhone users from Apple. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg clarifies the matter. In the latest Power On newsletter, the insider emphasized that iOS 28 will be "much more significant" than iOS 27, meaning that we will have to wait until next year for relevant updates dedicated to the iPhone's operating system.

Will iOS 27 Disappoint?

From the initial information, iOS 27 will mainly focus on a renewed version of Siri and various features of Apple Intelligence, which have been in development for some time but are not yet available to users. These are highly anticipated innovations, especially due to the development challenges Apple has faced in recent months, leading the company to a partnership with Google for the use of Gemini models. Additionally, iOS 27 will have a focus on bug fixes and performance improvements, aiming to lay the groundwork for a new major update. Essentially, those awaiting a revolution with iOS 27 might be disappointed.

It will be up to iOS 28 to raise the bar and introduce several innovations. Remember that iOS 28 will also be the operating system debuting with the 20th Anniversary iPhone, and consequently, Apple needs to introduce significant updates on the software side, not just the hardware side. More details on iOS 27 will arrive in the coming days. As for iOS 28, we will need to wait. The debut is set for the second half of next year.
