Has the launch of Apple's smart glasses been postponed to avoid a flop like the Vision Pro?

Apple does not intend to abandon the Apple Glass project, but it does not want to rush and wants to take care of the launch down to the smallest details. Based on these elements, the Cupertino company has decided to postpone the launch, taking a bit of extra time for the development of the glasses that will challenge new products from Google and other companies active in the sector. Here are the latest updates on the project.

Appointment at the end of 2027?

The Apple Glass will come to market, but not immediately. As clarified by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the Cupertino company has clear ideas about its next moves in the smart glasses sector. After the misstep with the Vision Pro, Apple does not want to rush too much.

As a result, the Apple Glass will arrive, but they will not be ready by early 2027. The launch has reportedly been postponed to the end of 2027, thus ensuring a few extra months of development to refine the project and prepare for a market debut without errors.

Currently, Apple is said to be working on four different frame concepts, with users able to choose from various color options. The first model will not include a display for augmented reality integrated into the lenses. A solution of this type, according to Gurman, will still require a few more years of development. Siri will play a crucial role in the utilization of the Apple Glass, allowing users to interact in a comprehensive way.

Some more details about the features of the smart glasses being developed by the Cupertino company may arrive in the coming weeks. Given that there is more than a year until the launch, the company has all the time to calmly work on the project.
