Rayman Origins Coming in Remastered Version and Rayman Legends Will Receive a Remake According to Leaks from Xbox Store
A New Era for Rayman
A new series of leaks suggests that Ubisoft is preparing the return of two beloved entries in the Rayman series, with a remaster of Rayman Origins and a remake of Rayman Legends. The information comes from a listing that briefly appeared on the Xbox store and was subsequently removed, as well as reports from industry sources.
According to leaked details, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is currently in development as an updated version of the 2011 platformer. The title would include significant technical enhancements, including 4K graphics and support for 60fps, along with various quality-of-life optimizations. The leak also indicates that this edition would include content that was previously exclusive to the PS Vita version of the game.
The listing, which was then taken down but reported by users on social media and online, provided the first concrete clues about the project, fueling speculation about an imminent official announcement. Meanwhile, a separate report attributed to Dealabs claims that Ubisoft is working on a more ambitious remake of Rayman Legends, the 2013 title. This project is reportedly known internally as Rayman Legends Retold and is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. According to rumors, the launch is expected in October.

Not only remakes and remasters: Rayman could return with a new chapter. Among the most significant new features of the alleged remake is the introduction of an online cooperative mode for up to four simultaneous players, a feature absent in the original, which only supported offline multiplayer.
According to the same sources, Rayman Legends Retold is also expected to include a physical edition intended for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The game could be officially presented during one of the upcoming PlayStation events, particularly the State of Play scheduled for June 2.
If confirmed, these two projects would fall into a particularly active period for the franchise, which recently celebrated its thirtieth anniversary with a collection of retro titles released by Digital Eclipse. Moreover, Rayman's return may not stop here: last year, Ubisoft Milan, the studio known for Mario + Rabbids, was linked to the development of a new AAA title in the series.
