GIGABYTE Celebrates 40 Years with the INFINITY Series: Motherboards, GPUs, and AI PCs at the Core of Strategy
GIGABYTE has chosen the theme "ENTER INFINITY" to celebrate its fortieth anniversary and present what it describes as the most comprehensive product range in its history. The company unveiled the new INFINITY series, a family of solutions that encompasses gaming, local artificial intelligence, and high-performance personal computing, with the aim of building an integrated ecosystem for the new AI era.
At the core of the proposal are the new AORUS INFINITY motherboards. The X870 AORUS INFINITY model particularly focuses on DDR5 memory performance, with declared frequencies of up to 11,400 MT/s and optimizations for reduced latency. This is complemented by X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, designed to make the most of the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processors.
The X870E AORUS INFINITY NEXT version introduces a cooling system that employs metallic components made through 3D printing and a power section designed to ensure greater stability under more intensive workloads, including those related to artificial intelligence.
The INFINITY series also extends to the graphics sector. Among the most representative products is the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY, featuring the WINDFORCE Hyperburst cooling system and already awarded the Red Dot Design Award. The family also includes versions based on GeForce RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070, all sharing the STEALTH approach that moves the power connector to the back of the card to improve cable management and airflow inside the case.
The ecosystem also includes new gaming peripherals. The AORUS K10 INFINITY keyboard uses magnetic switches and offers an actuation precision of up to 0.1 mm along with a polling rate of 8,000 Hz. Completing the setup is a 3.1-inch OLED touch screen that allows quick access to controls and information during gameplay.
The AORUS M10 INFINITY mouse adopts optical switches and a structure with an aluminum and magnesium alloy base. The family also includes the AORUS C510 GLASS INFINITY case, equipped with an integrated 16-inch side display.
Alongside the new series, GIGABYTE has showcased further developments for its desktop platforms. The Z890 Plus range introduces support for CQDIMM technology for high-capacity DDR5 memory, while the D5 DUO X BIOS has been designed to automatically manage parameters such as timing and voltages. Aesthetically, the AERO WOOD line also makes its debut in the graphics card sector, with a variant of the GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY featuring wooden elements.
The company continues to invest in the Project STEALTH concept, which aims at systems with hidden cabling. Among the new features is what is termed the first B850 mATX gaming motherboard with rear connectors, compatible with over 50 chassis from different manufacturers. Completing the platform is the AORUS ELITE 360 AIO liquid cooler.
There is a significant focus on artificial intelligence as well. The AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX and RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX allow compatible notebooks to be transformed into systems with performance comparable to desktops, for both gaming and running AI models. Even more ambitious is the AI TOP 100 B850, a platform that GIGABYTE describes as a local AI supercomputer designed for developers, researchers, and teams working with intelligent agents. According to the company, the system can handle models exceeding 200 billion parameters and has been validated with over 100 different frameworks. The configuration can be equipped with GeForce RTX 5090 or Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics cards and is designed to operate continuously 24/7, thanks also to the UD1600PM PG5 AI TOP power supply.
Important news also comes from the monitor sector. The new AORUS ELITE series integrates fourth-generation Tandem OLED panels and 5K Mini LED solutions in 27 and 32-inch formats. The fastest models reach refresh rates of up to 540 Hz, while some 4K versions support multiple viewing modes. Among the most notable products is the FM275K16P monitor, which GIGABYTE describes as the first 27-inch Mini LED Multi Mode gaming monitor with 5K resolution.
The software suite includes new AI Picture Mode features and tools dedicated to competitive gaming, such as Tactical HUD and Tactical Crosshair. To protect the OLED panels, the company has also updated its AI OLED CARE PRO suite with monitoring and automatic maintenance systems.
On the notebook front, GIGABYTE continues to focus on the local execution of AI workloads. The range includes models like AORUS MASTER 16, AERO X16, and GAMING A16, all integrated with GiMATE, the proprietary AI assistant responsible for optimizing the system and managing various device functions.
In collaboration with NVIDIA, the company has also introduced new optimizations that leverage NVFP4 quantization to speed up the local generation of images, with performance increases that, according to the data provided by the company, can reach 180% compared to previous implementations.
