OPPO Reno 16 and 16 Pro Official: Two New Models for the Upper-Middle Market Segment

The OPPO lineup is enriched with the new Reno 16 series, consisting of two models: the compact Reno 16 and the more complete and larger Reno 16 Pro. The two smartphones were unveiled in China, where they had been available for pre-order for a few days (although the company had not revealed the specifications).

The new OPPO Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch OLED display, with a Full HD+ resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 855 Super SoC supported by various combinations of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Despite its compact size, the smartphone offers a robust 6,700 mAh battery with 80 W fast charging support. The camera setup includes a dual rear camera (main and ultra-wide) with 50 Megapixel sensors. The front camera is also 50 Megapixels. The smartphone is certified IP68/IP69.

The OPPO Reno 16 Pro, on the other hand, features a 6.78-inch OLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s SoC. Compared to the Reno 16, it boasts a larger battery (7,000 mAh) and a 50 Megapixel periscope telephoto lens alongside the other two sensors. There is also support for Wi-Fi 7.

The new OPPO smartphones debut in China, with prices starting at 3,499 and 3,699 yuan (approximately 440 and 470 euros, respectively, at current exchange rates) for the 12/256 GB version. The global launch is expected next summer. Further details regarding the arrival in Italy should emerge soon.
