Arctic Freezer 36-S: New Cooler with Fan Up to 3000 RPM and Costs Less Than 20 Euros (For Now)

ARCTIC has unveiled the new Freezer 36-S, a CPU cooler designed as a more affordable alternative to the well-known Freezer 36. The product maintains a technical setup very close to the higher model but introduces some simplifications aimed at keeping the final price low without significantly penalizing thermal performance.

The new cooler uses a single tower structure with four 6 mm direct-touch heat pipes, a solution that allows for direct heat transfer from the CPU to the finned body. ARCTIC pairs this with a single P12 Pro 120 mm fan, a choice that differentiates the Freezer 36-S from the traditional Freezer 36, which is equipped with two fans from the P12 series.

According to the company, the P12 Pro fan has been optimized to ensure high static pressure, stable airflow, and minimal vibrations. The system also includes PWM control for automatic speed adjustment, along with more precise balancing and an advanced bearing system aimed at improving reliability and operational quietness.

ARCTIC has also worked on the mounting system. The Freezer 36-S makes use of a new mechanism with wire clips for fan installation and includes a contact frame for Intel solutions that enhances stability and pressure on the CPU. The package also includes MX-7 thermal paste, the new iteration of Arctic's flagship compound.

In terms of compatibility, the cooler natively supports Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700 sockets, as well as AMD AM5 and AM4 platforms. The cooler is available in silver, white, and black variants, both with and without lighting. The prices are 28.99 and 32.39 euros for Silver and Black without RGB, which rise to 36.49 and 37.49 euros for options with black and white ARGB fans.

However, to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary, Arctic has launched a promotional campaign that allows for up to 40% off catalog products purchased from their shop. The Freezer 36-S is already available in all variants at the maximum discount, bringing the prices down to:
