ASUS Prepares a GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Astral BTF in Celebratory Edition for 20 Years of ROG

In anticipation of Computex 2026, ASUS has started to tease some of the products that will accompany the celebrations for the twentieth anniversary of the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand. After a special edition Crosshair motherboard, the Taiwanese company released a short teaser video hinting at more components from the new celebratory line.

In the video, visible for just a few seconds, several products appear, all sharing a black-gold color scheme: a motherboard, a power supply, an AIO cooling system, a possible new version of the ROG NUC mini-PC, and especially a graphics card belonging to the ROG Astral family.

The GPU is the most interesting element of the teaser. Although ASUS hasn't confirmed the specific model, the design clearly seems to be linked to the ROG Astral BTF series based on the GeForce RTX 5000 range. The most credible hypothesis is that it is a GeForce RTX 5090, although an RTX 5080 is not ruled out.

The presence of the high-end variant is also suggested by the PCB layout seen in the video. Next to the PCI Express slot, there is an HPWR connector compatible with the BTF (Back-To-the-Future) design adopted by ASUS to reduce cable visibility within the system. This solution is generally reserved for higher-end models and premium configurations.

Aesthetically, the new celebratory edition differs from the current ROG Astral by abandoning the classic gray-silver finishes in favor of black bases with gold details. This same color identity seems to unify all the products shown in the teaser, suggesting the arrival of a true "20th Anniversary Edition" line.

ASUS has yet to release official technical details or information on operating frequencies, power limits, or commercial availability. However, it is plausible to expect flagship model specifications, with factory overclocking and positioning in the enthusiast segment.

Computex 2026, scheduled from June 2 to 6 in Taipei, will likely be the chosen stage for ASUS to officially present the entire ROG celebratory range dedicated to the brand's twentieth anniversary.
