The new Xiaomi 17 Max is official: it has the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a super battery
Everything confirmed: the Xiaomi 17 Max has just been unveiled by the company and is ready to carve out its space in the Chinese market, with a possible debut in Europe on the horizon, where the company has just launched the new Redmi Watch 6. Here are all the details about the smartphone.
Technical specifications
The Xiaomi 17 Max features a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. There is no rear display, which is instead present on the Pro and Pro Max models of the Xiaomi 17 series.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a chip found in many high-end Android devices, ensuring excellent performance. As always, the smartphone comes in various RAM and storage configurations (up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage).
The standout feature of the technical specifications is the battery: the smartphone boasts an 8,000 mAh battery, supporting 100 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging.
The camera setup includes three rear cameras (a 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide camera) along with a 32 MP front camera. Among the specifications is also the IP68/IP69 certification.
The new Xiaomi 17 Max debuts in China with prices starting from just over 600 euros (at current exchange rates) for the 12/256 GB version. For now, there are no confirmations regarding its arrival in the global market.
