SpaceX: Chun Wang from Fram2 to be onboard the first Starship mission to the Moon and a mission to Mars
The twelfth launch of Starship was expected last night, but a technical problem at the launch tower of Pad 2 prevented the takeoff, postponing the mission by one day. Super Heavy Booster 19 and Ship 39 are in good condition, and SpaceX seems optimistic about the success of operations for the next attempt. During the official streaming, Elon Musk's company announced some news regarding the development program, including some operational missions.

One of the updates concerns Chun Wang, the commander of Fram2. This private commercial space mission was the first human space mission to fly over the poles of the Earth and was launched at the beginning of April last year, returning after about three days in Low Earth Orbit. Now we know that Wang will be onboard a mission heading to the Moon using Starship, the same one that will include Dennis Tito and his wife Akiko Tito, announced at the end of 2022.
This will be the first commercial flight of SpaceX's new launch vehicle headed to the Moon with a crew. The plans are still quite "hazy" and will obviously depend on how the development of the new fully reusable rocket proceeds. According to reports, the circumlunar mission will last about a week and, according to the plans, will get within 200 km of the lunar surface, providing unique views for the astronauts aboard Ship.
Chun Wang will not stop here. The billionaire will also be one of the crew members of one of the first interplanetary missions headed to Mars. According to the announcement, this mission will last two years and will allow for a unique study of deep space with a crew onboard. As with the previous case, the precise timings are not yet known and will depend on various factors, including the development of Starship.
