Bestune: a new Chinese manufacturer arrives in Italy, blending luxury, utility, and accessibility

The advance of Chinese manufacturers in the automotive sector continues, with Italy soon welcoming a new brand: Bestune. China Car Company has announced the arrival of the FAW group brand, which will debut in our country with two SUVs now available for order through the sales network of the Prato importer. The models chosen for the launch are the Bestune T77 1.5T DCT Premium and the larger Bestune Joy EE07 PHEV Luxury.

The Bestune T77 is positioned in the compact SUV segment, featuring a length of 4,505 mm, a width of 1,840 mm, and a height of 1,615 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. The design showcases sharp lines and a large front grille, while the interior integrates an 8-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central display dedicated to the multimedia system.

Under the hood, it houses a 1.5 turbo gasoline direct injection four-cylinder engine producing 160 HP and 258 Nm of maximum torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The declared top speed reaches 181 km/h, while the average WLTC consumption is 7.1 l/100 km, equivalent to about 14 km/l. Regarding safety, the SUV includes a complete ADAS package with systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and frontal collision warning.

More ambitious is the positioning of the Bestune Joy EE07 PHEV Luxury, a plug-in hybrid SUV measuring 4,745 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,772 mm. The powertrain combines a 168 kW synchronous permanent magnet electric motor (equivalent to 228 HP and 340 Nm of torque) with a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine producing 150 HP and 225 Nm.

The 30.9 kWh LFP battery is one of the most interesting features of the model. According to the manufacturer's declared data, the SUV can travel up to 210 km in fully electric mode, while the total range reaches 1,555 km. Rapid DC charging supports powers up to 67 kW, with a claimed time of 33 minutes. The declared performance indicates acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h, while the reported energy consumption is 13.2 kWh/100 km. The Joy EE07 will be marketed only in the Luxury trim with fully equipped features. In addition to Level 2 assisted driving and the complete ADAS package, it will include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, and an electric tailgate.

At this time, it is already possible to sign up for the purchase of the models through European distributors, but the manufacturer has not yet announced the pricing for Italy. For Spain, the Joy EE07 starts at €29,030, while the price for the T77 is still unavailable.
