Samsung Prepares New Tab S12: SoC Confirmed
Samsung will also use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 3nm SoC, a chip that has proven its capabilities in terms of performance and efficiency. The Korean company will rely on this SoC for the new generation of its high-end tablets, which will replace the current Tab S11.
The new Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra are indeed on the way, and they will feature the MediaTek chip. Samsung, therefore, continues its collaboration with the company, which has also been the supplier for previous generations of the Tab S, as the company continues to update them, alternating between the base version and the Plus version while launching a new Ultra version each year.
Summer Release?
Information about the new Galaxy Tab S12 is still limited. Likely, the new tablets from the Korean company will be refreshes of the current models, as Samsung does not need to intervene much on the technical side.
The update to the SoC is necessary and, as mentioned, will see the transition to the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a chip that will ensure excellent performance in all usage contexts. Further details about the technical specifications of the Korean company's models should emerge in the coming weeks.
The operating system will be Android 16 or 17 (depending on the launch period) with the customization of One UI and many features related to the use of artificial intelligence. The official debut of the new tablets could take place during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which, as revealed in recent days, is expected to happen next summer.
