The front camera records in real 2.5K QHD (2560×1440 pixels at 30fps) without artificial upscaling, with a detail 1.78 times greater than Full HD 1080P. In practice, this means being able to clearly read a license plate from several meters away, even at high speeds. The 125° wide-angle lens covers up to four lanes of traffic simultaneously. The included rear camera RC21 records in Full HD 1080P, and is meant to cover the view behind the vehicle to document rear-end collisions, near overtakes, and reversing maneuvers. The codec used is H.264.
Night vision is ensured by a combination of three technical elements: the ultra-wide aperture F1.55, greater than the average market typically F2.0-F2.8; the hardware-level HDR technology that balances overexposed and underexposed areas in real-time, crucial when exiting tunnels or under street lamps; and a proprietary 70mai algorithm for reducing digital noise in dark scenes. The result is readability of license plates and road signs even in unlit parking lots or on country roads devoid of lighting.
The multi-constellation integrated GPS supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS simultaneously, automatically incorporating coordinates, instantaneous speed, and timestamp in every frame of the video. This metadata makes the recordings usable as documentary evidence and allows users to review routes on the app with the map overlaid on the video. The Wi-Fi connection allows for transferring videos to a smartphone without cables via the 70mai app, from which users can also adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity and recording resolution.
The G-Sensor is a three-axis accelerometer that automatically detects impacts, harsh braking, and collisions. When the set impact threshold is exceeded, the device immediately locks the current file and records up to 3 minutes of buffered video (pre-collision, impact, and 30 seconds post-impact). It then saves it in a separate partition protected from loop overwriting. The included 64 GB SD card is sufficient for about 6-8 hours of 2.5K recording; the maximum supported capacity is 256 GB.
The 24H parking mode is also very important, as it keeps the dashcam active when the engine is off: it records in time-lapse to save space and activates full recording only in case of a shock detected by the G-Sensor. As for installation, it is simple and happens via static adhesive, without suction cups or sticky residues, removable and repositionable without damaging the windshield. The official 70mai warranty is 24 months.
At €90.99 with the included 64 GB SD card, the value of the offer lies in the completeness of the package: dual camera with 2.5K front resolution, integrated GPS, effective night vision with F1.55 aperture, always active parking mode, and Wi-Fi connection for direct management from a smartphone. In this price range, the 70mai A410 is one of those devices that covers all basic needs without requiring additional accessories.
