Vision Pro has failed and a new generation won't arrive for at least a couple of years

The Vision Pro has been a failure, despite the refresh that brought the version with M5 to debut. Therefore, Apple is undergoing a reorganization phase. As reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the development of new technologies related to the Vision range continues, but the arrival of a headset is still far off.

It’s worth remembering that the Vision Pro's flop is not a surprise: in fact, in recent weeks, a report had confirmed Apple's decision to abandon the project. Here are the details on the future of the Vision line.

We will have to wait. According to Gurman, we will have to wait "at least a couple of years" before witnessing the debut of a new Vision Pro, a project which, at the moment, has not yet been approved by the Cupertino company, which is focused on developing a range of smart glasses.

In the meantime, the project for a Vision Air, a lighter and more affordable version of the headset, has also been put aside for better times. The results obtained from the Vision line have not convinced, and Apple itself does not seem to believe much in a relaunch.

As highlighted by Gurman, we will have to wait for the next few years to have clearer ideas about this. For now, Apple should focus on the development of smart glasses, a more accessible product that could potentially generate better commercial results than the Vision Pro. The smart glasses are expected to be part of a range of products related to artificial intelligence, which will also include the new AirPods with camera.
