HONOR is working on its first Pro Max: here are the expected specifications
HONOR is working on its new flagship, set to be released in the second half of 2026. The model will be called HONOR Magic 9 Pro Max. HONOR is also preparing to follow the trend started by other Chinese manufacturers who have chosen to rename their flagship "Pro Max," following Apple's example. Ahead of its debut, a new leak confirms the specifications of the model.
What to expect from the new HONOR Magic 9 Pro Max
The new HONOR model will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 SoC. It is still unclear whether HONOR will opt for the base Gen 6 or the Gen 6 Pro.
The smartphone will present a 6.8-inch display with an LTPO OLED panel, Full HD+ resolution, and a 2.5D curved panel. Among the confirmed specifications are 3D face recognition, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a battery with a capacity ranging from 8,000 - 8,999 mAh.
The camera setup will consist of a main camera with a 1/1.28'' sensor and 200 Megapixels, as well as a 200 Megapixel periscopic telephoto lens. Currently, no further details are available regarding the camera setup. The design may align with that of the previous generation.
HONOR's new flagship is expected to debut in the second half of 2026, likely around October, at least for the Chinese market. There is plenty of time to register further updates on the specifications.
